Locals had informed the police about the unidentified body found in a paddy field in Khaireni here in the district. [break]
The identification of the deceased is yet to be ascertained. After preliminary investigation, police have assumed that the person died five days ago, informed Gyanendra Phuyal, police inspector at the area police office.
Police also said it could be a male body as it has short hair and is donned in a yellow vest and a red half-pant.
The body has been sent to hospital in Katari for post mortem, Phuyal said. Police are further investigating the case.
