The X-Factor is available for Rs 9,000, which is about Rs 3,000 cheaper compared to low-end smartphones of other brands available in the market.
"This device will change the scenario of smartphones market in Nepal. It will be an ideal handset for customers seeking smartphones at reasonable prices,” said Gita Neupane, marketing manager of Teletalk Company.
According to Neupane, the market of smartphones is expanding at the rate of 10 percent every year. He expects the market to grow by up to 15 percent next year. “This is why we launched the X-Factor in Nepal,” she added.
The new handset is powered by 1GHz processor and uses Andriod 2.3.6 Gingerbread operating system. It has 3.2-inch multi-touch screen, 2MP camera, 256 MB RAM and wireless FM.
"This feature will better serve the people that are fond of listening to FM radio,” Neupane told Republica.
X-Factor supports 3G, USB 2.0, Bluetooth 3.0 and Wi-Fi connectivity. The X-Factor comes with pre-loaded Google Play store, AngryBirds, Facebook, Fruit Ninja, Instagram, Skype, Talking Tom, Viber, Yahoo Messenger and various other applications. It has 1,280 mAh battery that delivers five hours of talk time and 182 hours of standby time. It has external memory slot that supports up to 32 GB memory.
