Leaders of two rival factions of Nepali Congress clashed in Chandranigahapur of Rautahat district on Sunday after a dispute over the date and venue for the party’s convention for the district’s constituency number 3. Rival factions hurled chairs at each other. The clash subsided after police intervention. Nepali Congress has not been able to hold village, district and constituency level conventions in several Tarai districts.
