Heavy rain forecast for eastern, western regions

KATHMANDU, June 30: The Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) under the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology (DoHM) has warned that there will be heavy rainfall in the eastern and western regions of the country.

KATHMANDU, June 30: All confiscated body parts and trophies of endangered animals from across the country have been sent to Tikauli and Kasara of Chitwan district for DNA barcoding.

GORKHA, July 1: Around 200 households of Kerauja VDC in Gorkha district have been displaced after their settlements were threatened by landslides triggered by heavy rains this week. The VDC, which lies in northern part of the district, is located at an altitude of 2,300 meters. It takes two days on foot to reach Kerauja from the district headquarters.
