KAILALI, Oct 22: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that the American aid project, Millenium Challenge Corporation (MCC), will be passed by parliament. Speaking at a press conference in Dhangadhi after inspecting the disaster-struck regions in Sudurpaschim Province, PM Deuba said that the MCC will be passed by parliament as it will be under the purview of Nepal’s laws.

KATHMANDU, Oct 21: CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli said that the 10 point agreement reached earlier to settle the party’s internal issues is no more relevant now. The agreement reached to strengthen the party’s unity has been declared useless by Oli.

KATHMANDU, Oct 30: The government has announced to provide Rs 200,000 as immediate relief to the family of those killed due to flood and landslide in the past few days. An emergency meeting of the cabinet held on Wednesday afternoon made a decision to this effect.

Today marks the completion of 100 days by the present government led by Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba. It was on July 13 that NC President Deuba took charge as the head of the government. He had succeeded CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli following the Supreme Court’s order to appoint him as the Prime Minister of Nepal in accordance with the Article 76 (5) of the Constitution.
