KATHMANDU, May 8 :Nepal has been placed at the 65th position among 117 countries in terms of budget transparency and accountability, according to the Open Budget Survey (OBS) released on Wednesday. The survey conducted by International Budget Partnership (IBP)  shows that Nepal is not publishing enough materials to support informed public debate on the budget.

KATHMANDU, May 8: The federal parliament is all set to begin the budget session which is scheduled to kick off at 4 pm later today.

KAPILVASTU, May 8: Kapilvastu district on Thursday reported the first two cases of COVID-19. The lab tests conducted at Kathmandu-based National Public Health Laboratory proved that two youths, aged 16 and 22, from Mayadevi Rural Municipality-8, Bijuka have contracted the disease.
