KATHMANDU, June 8: The garbage trucks that had reached Banchare Danda to dispose of the Kathmandu Valley’s waste have returned without doing so.

KATHMANDU, June 8: The situation has become tense in Banchare Danda of Nuwakot after the locals obstructed trucks from dumping garbage at the landfill site today. The police mobilized at the site fired six rounds of tear gas canisters to control the agitated locals who were obstructing the dumping process, according to a source.
