The deceased has been identified as Sabin Poudel, 19, of Urlabari-3.The accident took place when a bus (Na 5 Kha 4783) heading towards the east from west hit a motorcycle (Me 2 Pa 359). Poudel, who was riding the motorcycle, died on the way to Biratnagar-based Neuro Hospital, according to Police Inspector at the Area Police Office, Urlabari, Shreeram Bhandari.
Similarly, injured Uma Niraula, 28, of Urlabari-3 and Chitra Rai, 26, of Sakhfara-5 in Ilam are undergoing treatment at Araniko Hospital, added Bhandari.
Police have arrested the bus driver, Somnath Nepal, 48, of Biratnagar-2, and impounded the vehicle. RSS
