Companies such as Welcome Event Management, Wedding Nepal, Dream Weddings, Young Entrepreneur Services and Nepali Wedding among others are providing wedding management services to their clients. These companies manage 10-15 weddings annually.[break]
People have started taking the service of these companies as they help right from the selection of bride or groom to the arrangement of honeymoon trip within the given budget.
Anyone can take service of these companies by paying registration fee ranging from Rs 10,000-20,000 and paying 15-20 percent of the total cost as service charge. Some of them even do not take registration fee.
Nita Paudel, director of Welcome Event Management (WEM), said that people have started taking the service of professional event management companies to make their social events elegant and memorable. “Though we started wedding management service in November only, we have already organized 13 weddings,” added Paudel.

Welcome Event and Management undertakes all the tasks related to weddings - right from designing and distributing invitation cards to hiring car and vehicles, booking party venue and catering services - as per the budget allocated by its clients.
Jenny Lamichhane, who hired Welcome Event Management to organize her wedding, said she was amazed by the service provided by the company. “They arranged everything in a short span of time that too at a reasonable cost,” added Lamichhane.
People hire wedding planners to make their big days memorable and managed, said Swarna Nakarmi, a wedding planner at Wedding Nepal. According to Nakarmi, Wedding Nepal manages around 15 weddings annually.
Another company Dream Weddings, which was established just a few months ago, has organized seven weddings so far. “People have started realizing that wedding planners do make their big days grand and memorable,” Sarita Raut, managing director of Dream Wedding, said. “People can enjoy every precious moments of their special occasions because we will be there to take care of everything.”
She, however, added it will take some time for Nepalis to fully rely on the planners as they are used to managing social occasions like weddings themselves.
