Villagers swindled

BUTAWAL, May 16: Locals in Motipur village in Kapilvastu district have been swindled by two youths in the name of running an NGO project.



Ghanashyam Katuwal of Jyamire VDC in Sindhupalchowk and Kamal Koirala of Bhaktapur have fled the village after collecting over Rs 100,000 from villages in the name of running an educational project in the village.



The duo collected the amount saying that they failed to receive necessary funds from their head office in Kathmandu.



According to Laxman Belbase, a villager, the duo collected Rs 40,000 from Ram Bhusal, Rs 25,000 Bishnu Neupane, Rs 10,000 from Tej Bahadur Bhandari, Rs 6,000 from Tula Ram Regmi and Rs 5,000 from Basanta Bhusal.
