“The security situation is worsening day by day in Tarai,” said Yadav, adding, “On broad day light, our party leader Pragash Shah was shot at Jaleshwor by an unidentified group on Thursday.” He maintained that the firing at the party office in Jaleshwor, Mahottari reflected ‘naked’ security lapse in Tarai.
“Nepal Police and armed groups of Tarai must have a good relation and the attack on our party leader was a sponsored act,” claimed Yadav. He further said that Tarai-based armed groups were getting political protection. He accused the Regmi-led government of not being serious towards maintaining security situation in the country.
In a separate context, Yadav said that the rescue team and flood relief fund should be sent to the flood-hit areas of the country.
When asked about the possibility of Constituent Assembly (CA) polls on the scheduled date, he was quick to respond that the elections would not be held in status quo. “Unless the 11-point and 25-point agreements are scraped, a conducive environment for the polls will not create,” said Yadav accusing the government of being run by the ‘four party syndicate’.
