UML lawmakers stress on consensus on elections of Prez, Veep

KATHMANDU, Oct. 25: The Parliamentary Party (PP) meeting of the ruling CPN-UML has stressed on the need of holding election for the post of the President and Vice-president on the consensus basis to end current problems.

The PP meeting chaired by party chairman and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli held at PM's official Residence at Baluwatar concluded the same.

Chair Oli who is also the PP leader stressed on unity and co-work among all political parties in this critical phase.

After following the meeting, leader Madhav Kumar Nepal quoting to PP leader said "UML wants to move ahead on the way of consensus and it is the demand of the nation as well."
Earlier, the standing committee (SC) meeting of the party concluded last night decided to contest for the post of the President based on consensus but the name of the candidate is yet to finalize. RSS
