According to Gorakh Chand, NC district working committee member, UCPN (Maoist) cadres captured the materials at Chhiwang VDC while being ferried to the constituency number 2 of the district from district headquarters, Khalanga.[break]
According to him, UCPN (Maoist) cadres including Dhanbir Oli, Ganesh Chintan and Dambar Bista seized 200 pieces of T-shirts, 11 pieces of loudspeakers and 100 pieces of flyers which were being carried to the Simli, Purtimkanda, Garayala and Ghetma VDCs.
The UCPN (Maoist) has denied the accusation.
However, Sharun Bantha, district coordinator of the UCPN (Maoist), informed that he has already ordered his cadres to return the captured materials as they were confiscated over suspicion of possible weapons.
