Lamichhane has quit the party for the UCPN (Maoist) putting forth the agenda of federalism with ethnicity-based identity. [break]
He said that he has relinquished the UCPN (Maoist) since his anti-federalism view was not heeded in the party since long.
His argument was that the federalism will ruin the ethnic harmony and bring the country to serious conflict.
He further said that he has remained inactive in the party following the seventh general convention of the party in Hetauda. He added that he had attempted to put forth his anti-federalism view on the conclave but he did not get support from anywhere.
Communists seem good till they ascend to power and that they start ruining themselves much while reaching the power, he commented.
