The event will also serve as the selection tournament for International Handball Federation Challenge Trophy scheduled to be held in Kathmandu from December 12-18. Altogether nine teams from Kathmandu, Kaski, Mahottari, Morang, Udayapur, Dolakha, Kailali and Dang will compete in the event to be held under league-cum-knockout format.[break]
"We will select about 20 girl players and conduct a closed camp training from October 17,” said NHA President Tej Gurung. According to Gurung, male players will be selected on the basis of their performance during the Sixth National Games.
