TAPLEJUNG, March 28: Two people were seriously injured when a house caught fire after being hit by a lightning here in the district on early Monday.
The house of Krishna Sapkota in Ambote of Taplejung municipality-3 came across the abrupt discharge of electricity from the sky, and caught fire in the incident that took place at around 5:30 am. The thatched-roof house was completely gutted in the fire.
House owner Sapkota and his daughter-in-law Ambika were injured in the incident, according to local resident Dhanendra Maden. Both are undergoing treatment at the District Hospital in Taplejung.
Sapkota and Ambika were rescued by the locals. RSS
