KATHMANDU: Two of 33 seats of reformed Country Coordinating Mechanism (CCM), a national body to manage the global fund are still vacant.

The two seats have been allotted to the government. But the CCM secretariat has not yet decided which of the government agencies should be added in the mechanism. The issue raised seriously during the 48th meeting of the CCM last month. Eight ministries are already occupying 11 of the 33 seats.

The CCM is primary body to decide on how to manage the $76 million sanctioned for Nepal government by Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.
