32 posts remain vacant in local-level

KATHMANDU, Nov 11: A total of 32 posts have now remained vacant in provincial and local-level. ccording to the Election Commission, the posts have remained vacant due to various reasons including death and resignation.

KATHMANDU, Nov 11: A total of 32 posts have now remained vacant in provincial and local-level. 



According to the Election Commission, the posts have remained vacant due to various reasons including death and resignation. 



Provincial Assembly member from Bhaktapur district, Hari Sharan Lamichhane, Mayor of Dharan Sub-Metropolitan City, Tara Subba, and Chairperson of Makalu rural municipality, Sankhuwasabha, died after their election to the post. 



Similarly, a total of 13 chairpersons of different local levels across the country passed away so far after the local-level election. 



Likewise, the posts remained vacant after chairperson of Matihani municipality-6, Mahottari, resigned from the post, chairperson of Dupcheshwor municipality-1, Nuwakot, is in jail on the charge of human trafficking as well as Chairpersons of Airawat rural municipality-2, Pyuthan, and Punarbas municipality-3, Kanchanpur, were elected to the District Coordination Committee. 



Post of chairperson at Solu-Dudhkunda municipality-11, Solukhumbu, has remained vacant as no candidacy was filed to the post during local-level election. RSS
