Truck driver dies of electric shock

BHAKTAPUR, May 29: A truck driver died of electric shock early this morning in Sirutar-4 of Bhaktapur district. The truck with registered number plate Ba 2 Pa 4204 was caught with current from the high-tension wire while pouring down the concrete into a depot.



The deceased has been identified as Sukra Bahadur Gole aka Rajendra Tamang, 27, of Bajrabarahi-9, Makawanpur district. Tamang had died of electric shock when he attempted to put out the fire set on diesel tank of the truck.



An eyewitness Prakash Raut of Sirutar said Tamang died within five minutes on the spot after he was caught with the electric shock while making at attempt to extinguish the fire.



Police sub-inspector Ghan Shyam Shrestha said Metropolis Police Circle, Thimi has taken under control the truck and the body of the driver is sent to Bhaktapur Hospital for the postmortem.
