KATHMANDU, April 18: A micro-bus skidded off and fell some 30 meters down from the road in Nuwakot on Wednesday morning, killing two passengers aboard.
According to our correspondent Dev Chandra Bhatta, a woman and a man were killed when the bus (Ba 1 Ja 9723) met with the accident at Laukebarahi of Madanpur VDC-9 along the Pasang Lhamu road section in the district. The deceased´s identities are to yet to be established. [break]
Likewise, 14 others were *injured in the incident. Six of the injured are said to be females. A rescue operation is ongoing.
In a similar incident in Makawanpur, one person was killed and 27 others were injured after a passenger bus (Ba 4 Kha 1291) met with an accident in the district.
All the injured are receiving medical treatmenat at a hospital in Hetauda.

In Baglung, 16 passengers were injured after the jeep (Ja 1 Ja 2078) they were traveling on met with an accident in Burtibang this morning, according to our correspondent Dilip Poudel.
Of the injured, seven are in critical condition, police said. All the injured are undergoing treatment at a local health center. The driver is absconding.
