KATHMANDU, Jan 8: Three people have tragically lost their lives in separate road accidents in various parts of Nepal.


In Salyan's Chhatreshwari Rural Municipality-1, a tractor numbered (LP 02-001 Ta 0012) en route from Bhalumare to Mayani crashed on Wednesday morning, killing 49-year-old Kshetra Bahadur Khatri from the same area. Khatri succumbed to his injuries during treatment at the district hospital. The tractor driver is currently on the run, and police are actively searching for him.

In Banke, a head-on collision occurred between a motorcycle numbered (UP 40 AF 2044) and an e-rickshaw numbered (Ne 1 Ha 3681) on Wednesday afternoon in Dhodegaun, Nepalgunj Sub-metropolitan City-17. The motorcycle rider, 50-year-old Nizamuddin Khan from Janaki Rural Municipality-3 Badhaiya, was killed in the crash. The e-rickshaw driver has been taken into police custody.


In Tulsipur, Dang, a 36-year-old woman, whose identity and nationality are yet to be confirmed, was fatally injured when run over by a bus (Lu Pr 02-001 Kha 44) in Bus Park, Tulsipur Sub-metropolitan City-5. She died during treatment at Rapti Provincial Hospital. The bus driver has been taken into police custody.
