TAPLEJUNG, March 23: The enraging inferno at Takmedanda, the district headquarters of the district has destroyed over four dozen houses, which includes government offices and private houses on Monday.

The fire, which began at around 7 pm spread so quickly that it burnt down a large number of houses.No human casulties have been reported so far.
A house belonging to one Mukti Poudel has been destroyed fully in the fire.
Similarly, the fire has also reduced the house of Neelam Neupane, in which the offices of Panda Network and Janamukti Agriculture Cooperative were run, into ashes.
In the same way, the house of Bharat Kharel has also been destroyed. Over a dozen shops were burnt in the fire, which is yet out of control due to lack of fire extinguisher machines in Taplejung headquarters.
A fire engine has been called from Ilam district. Nepal Police, Nepal Army and locals are rendering their efforts to contain the fire with the resources available.
The effort to control the fire by tearing the houses down was underway.The exact cause behind the fire has yet to be known.
