NPABSON stated that the government has failed to make the guardians and students understand that the students receiving lower grades will not be able to get enrolled for higher education."We have found that the students are reluctant to read thinking that they now do not have to fear about failing, which is wrong," said NPABSON Chairperson Karna Bahadur Shahi.
Shahi added that the schools affiliated to his organization were preparing to take pre-board exams which would help the students for the board exams scheduled to start from March 31.
"The pre-board results will be issued through the letter grading so that the students will know how prepared they are to get good grades," said Shahi.
The Office of the Controller of Examinations had introduced alphabetical grading from A+ to F for the technical SLC students last year as a trial for the first time. But from this year, the office is all set to implement the new grading system, expanding it from A+ to I for all types of SLC examinees.
