Among 12 districts classified by All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) in B division, the respective district winners are participating in the regional league. The district winners are divided into four groups for regional league. Group A matches will be held in Siraha, group C matches in Sindhupalchowk and group D matches in Kanchanpur. The regional winners of each group will compete in the super league and the top two teams of super league will qualify for the the national league. The winners and runners up of super league will join top six teams of ongoing Martyrs Memorial B Division League being held in the capital for national league.
Ryan wins int´l taekwondo
KATHMANDU: Ryan International School from India on Sunday secured first position in the First Manamohan Memorial Invitational International Kings Taekwondo Tournament. Ryan bagged six gold, five silver and seven bronze medals to finish at the top of table. The host Syuchatar Taekwondo Dojang came behind Ryan with five gold, two silver and seven bronze medals. With four gold and a bronze medal, Bijeshwori School came third.
Construction of open covered hall begins
KATHMANDU: National Sports Council (NSC) on Sunday started construction of open covered hall at its premises in Tripureshwar. The NSC initiated the construction after realization that only one covered hall was insufficient for conducting various tournaments and coaching activities time and again. The new covered hall is being built on the open area near the multipurpose covered hall of NSC. The construction is expected to cost Rs 5 million and is set to be completed within three months. Meanwhile, NSC Member Secretary Yubaraj Lama laid the foundation stone of covered hall on Sunday.
