The conference is scheduled to take place from 19th to 24th April both in Bandung and Jakarta of Indonesia under the theme of "Strengthening South-South Cooperation to Promote World Peace and Prosperity".
Prime Minister Sushil Koirala is taking part in the conference, leading a Nepali delegation.
Talking to RSS, Minister for Foreign Affairs Mahendra Bahadur Pandey expressed the confidence that the Asian-African Conference would turn a milestone to take the mutual relations between Asian and African countries to a new height.
Minister Pandey said that requests would be made in the Conference for international support for Nepal's graduation into a developing nation from the LDC by 2022. Nepal would put forth polices and programmes in the Conference taken for its graduation to a developing country, Pandey shared.
Likewise, the top-level government officials would meet in Jakarta on April 19 in the inter-governmental meeting. Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Shanker Das Bairagi is attending the meeting from Nepal.
The agendas passed from the meeting would be submitted at the ministerial-level meeting to be held on April 20. Foreign Affairs Minister Pandey will take part in the ministerial-level meeting.
Minister Pandey shared that the agendas passed from the ministerial-level meeting would be tabled at the meeting of the Heads of State and Governments.
Likewise, the 60th Commemoration of the Asian-African Conference would be held in Bandung on April 24. RSS
