The tournament featuring 28 teams will run for a week. In total, 28 teams, including 18 banks and 10 corporate houses, are participating in the event. [break]
The tournament is being organized every year by Soaltee Crowne Plaza with the theme of "All Play No Work". Organizing a press conference on Wednesday, Sony Chaudhary, the assistant manager of marketing and public relations of the Soaltee Crown Plaza said that the event will be held on the league cum knockout basis.
The participating teams are divided into seven groups where top two teams from each group will qualify for the pre-quarterfinal round. The best two teams other than top two of the group will also make it through to the pre-quarterfinal.
The group stage match will be held on league formant and other matches on knockout format. The event will be held under technical assistance of Cricket Association of Nepal.
Group A and B will be the battle of banks featuring Siddhartha Bank, Civil Bank, defending champions Nepal SBI Bank, KIST Bank, Bank of Asia, Citizen Bank International, Century Bank and Nabil Bank. Prime Life Insurance, Bottlers Nepal, host Soaltee Crown Plaza and Nepal Investment Bank are placed in group C.

Bank of Kathmandu, Sanima Bikash Bank, Amarawati Travels and Embassy of India are drawn in group D. NMB Bank, Nepal FM, International Development Bank and Micromax are in group E. Kantipur, NIC Bank, Agni Air, runner-up Standard Chartered Bank, Nepal Bank, Himalayan Bank, Embassy of Pakistan and Nagarik are in group F and G.
General Manager of the organizer Vini Kumar Gupta said that they have increased the numbers of teams in the current edition following overwhelming response from corporate sector. "The Idea behind the new format of six-a-side cricket is to bring corporate houses together at one platform."
The tournament is sponsored by Nabil Bank, Antiquity, Coca Cola, Carlsberg, Tagheuer and Micromax.
