DADELDHURA, May 26: A passenger bus (Ba 4 Kha 8492) en en route to Dadeldhura from Kathmandu unexpectedly caught fire while overtaking another bus at Basgadi of Banke district.

The Ugratara bus’s tire caught fire during the incident and quickly spread inside the bus, Bhuwan Joshi, one of the passengers inside the bus said. The fire has completely charred the bus.
The bus was ferrying 45 passengers. While no human casualties occurred, luggage of all the passengers was destroyed, according to Padam Raj Jaisi, chairperson of Ugratara Public Transport Committee adding that they suspected a short circuit to cause the incident.
