KATHMANDU, Oct 19: A fire broke out in a public bus parked at Satdobato in Lalitpur on Saturday after a sudden short circuit problem arose in the vehicle’s inner wiring.
According to the spokesperson for the District Police Range, Lalitpur, Superintendent of Police (SP) Ravaratna Paudel the bus (Ba 4 Kha 106) of Mahanagar Yatayat caught fire while stopping near Satdobato Chowk, Lalitpur Metropolitan City-15, on Saturday afternoon.

He said that the bus which was heading to Gwarko from Satdobato was stopped at the "bus pocket" and suddenly a short circuit took place in the bus’s inner wiring and the fire broke out.
As soon as the news of the fire in the bus was received, a police team and two fire engines of the Lalitpur Metropolitan Municipality were dispatched to extinguish the fire.
The bus was completely damaged by the fire. No human casualty has been reported in the incident.
