“We have heralded a new beginning after 22 years. We believe that this will help to do away with all the anomalies in the state-run NAC,” said Minister for Tourism and Civil Aviation Khadga Bahadur Bishwakarma.
According to government spokesperson Ganga Lal Tuladhar, the cabinet meeting appointed Pramila Kumari Yadav as Chairperson of National Trading Limited for two years and Komal Nath Baral as Chairman of Rastriya Samachar Samitee for maximum four years.
Likewise, Prem Bahadur Sinha has been appointed Chairman of Bagmati Civilization Integrated Development Committee, relieving incumbent Chairman Mahesh Bahadur Basnet.
The cabinet meeting has also decided to bear all the expenses incurred in the treatment of journalist Khilanath Dhakal and release Rs 200,000 immediately for the purpose. The meeting also decided to punish the guilty involved in attack against Dhakal.
Among other things, the cabinet meeting has also decided to approve additional 54 vacancies in Birendra Police Hospital.
