"Robert and I decided to present the money to the Fund instead of using it for the honeymoon. If the Fund is helping six people, then I can help the seventh one. This is what inspired us to contribute," she said at the press meet.Reema and Robert Lwagun Bishwokarma tied the knot a week ago on September 27.
The fund, which was established to help the sick and financially weak members of the film fraternity, has Rs 30.4 million in the treasury at the moment.
Jharana Thapa was appointed as the coordinator of the fund just a few days ago by the Film Development Board. Thapa stated that the fund has plans to increase its money and help more film artistes in the coming days.
"Our priority is to increase the funds to Rs 50 million. Then we'll identify the film artistes who need our help and start supporting them," she said.
Meanwhile, Reema also expressed her commitment to continue working in films: "Just because I'm married now doesn't mean I'm leaving the industry. Like Jharana didi, who actually stepped into the industry post her marriage, I also want to continue giving my best to the Nepali film industry."
