KATHMANDU, March 21: Alternative politics activist, educator and central member of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Pukar Bam has been accepted as an Edward S. Mason Fellow at Harvard University.
Widely recognized as a social activist, Bam is a founding member of the Bibeksheel Nepali Party and played a prominent role in Nepal’s post-earthquake reconstruction and relief efforts. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he was actively involved in rescue and relief operations across various communities. He is also known for leading the "Enough is Enough" campaign, including an 11-day hunger strike demanding systemic reforms.
Bam is respected for his leadership on issues related to education and healthcare, consistently advocating for policy change and social justice. He has expressed his commitment to utilizing the knowledge and experience gained through the Mason Fellowship to further contribute to Nepal’s political, educational, and social sectors.
