Property worth Rs 2.7m gutted as cow farm catches fire in Lalitpur

LALITPUR, April 10: Property worth Rs 2.7 million was gutted after a cow farm caught fire at Karyabinayak Municipality-2 in Lalitpur district this morning.

Three cows perished and one dozen cows and buffaloes were injured in the incident, according to Spokesperson at the Metropolitan Police Range, Lalitpur, Kaman Singh Thapa.Similarly, the cow farm owner Nariram Gharti sustained minor injuries in course of dousing the fire.

Property including gold ornaments, utensils, clothes, food grain, furniture and cattle worth Rs 2.7 million was gutted by the fire.

The fire was doused after an hour and the cause behind the fire is not yet ascertained. Police have started investigation into the incident. RSS
