Upon his arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, the president said his visit has further strengthened Nepal-China relations. [break]
During the visit officials from two countries discussed bilateral cooperation in the fields of agriculture, trade and infrastructure development, according to Sharat Singh Bhandari, Minister for Tourism and Civil Aviation, who had accompanied the president to China.
Bhandari further said that the president reaffirmed Nepal’s ‘One China Policy’ during his meetings with Chinese leaders, while assuring that Nepal will not allow its soil to be used by any one against China.
Chinese leaders also told the president that there will be no change in Chinese policy towards Nepal.
Bhandari added that Chinese leaders including the premier stressed that Nepal should be able to benefit from the Chinese economic boom.
President Yadav had visited China to attend the concluding ceremony of Shanghai Expo on October 26. The expo started May 1.
On his way to Shanghai President Yadav had visited Lhasa and Xian.
Vice president, prime minister and other ministers had received President Yadav at the airport Monday.
