UMLcadres have constructed 750 huts so far in the district. UML leader Som Mishra is leading the party's team in constituency-1 while Parshuram Meghi Gurung in constituency-2 for the construction of shelters and clearance of the rubble.
The UML teams have demolished some 300 risky buildings and cleared the rubble from more than 100 collapsed houses, religious buildings and schools.

UCPN (Maoist) has mobilized some 300 cadres in the district. Politburo member Lekhraj Bhatta has overseen the construction teams in constituency-1 and Ramchandra Jha in constituency-2 for the construction drive, UCPN (Maoist) leader Nirmal Bhattarai said.
Likewise, over 100 cadres of the Netra Bikram Chand-led Maoist party are working for the construction campaign. The party's cadres so far handed over 250 temporary shelters to the locals and cleared the debris of 150 collapsed houses.
