SIRAHA, Jan 17: A police head constable was injured seriously when an unidentified group of people shot at him at Bisanpur Chowk of Khadak Municipality-7 in Saptari district on Wednesday evening.

The gang on motorcycles shot at Mahendra Yadav while the latter was on duty, said Inspector Bishnu Pradip Basyal. Yadav has been taken to Biratnagar-based Neuro Hospital, and a search has been launched for the shooters, he said.
