Police night patrols arrest 14 youths

KATHMANDU, April 19: Police on Sunday initiated action against 14 youths involved in various "anti-social activities" in Kathmandu. Police patrols on Friday night had arrested altogether 40 youths from various parts of Kathmandu. Of them, 25 were released after interrogation.



According to Police Inspector Dadhi Ram Neupane at Metropolitan Police Range Office, Kathmandu, one of the arrested was involved in kidnapping in the past and he has been tried for his crime. Likewise, 14 others were tried under Public Offense Act at District Administration Office, Kathmandu. Police have recently increased night patrol in Kathmandu.
