The direct bus service that came into being on March 15 could not materialize following protests and obstruction by transport entrepreneurs in Myagdi. The deadlock was removed following an agreement reached on Tuesday among the bus entrepreneurs of Myagdi, Dhaulagiri, Mustang and Prithivi highway bus entrepreneurs committee.
As per the agreement reached at the initiative of the Regional Administration Office Pokhara, the direct bus service will now be available until Saturday. Another round of talks will determine the fate of the direct bus service after Saturday, according to Secretary of the Myagdi Jeep and Bus Entrepreneurs Committee Suman Shrestha.
Following the initiation of the direct bus service from Pokhara to Jomsom, Transport entrepreneurs in Myagdi, which falls in between the two tourist destinations, had demanded that they also be allowed to run their service in the route and to Pokhara. RSS
