Prime Minister Koirala will also attend a commemorative event that will be organized on April 24 in Bandung on the occasion of the 60th Anniversary of 1955 Asian-African Conference and the 10th Anniversary of the New Asian-African Strategic Partnership. Both the Summit and the commemorative event are being held under the theme of "Strengthening South-South Cooperation to promote World Peace and Prosperity".
According to a press statement issued by Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), Prime Minister Koirala is scheduled to deliver his address to the Summit and also hold bilateral meetings with the leaders of neighboring countries, SAARC and ASEAN regions attending the Summit Meeting and Commemorative Event.
On April 22, the Prime Minister will attend dinner hosted by the President of the Republic of Indonesia in honor of Heads of State or Government attending the Summit Meeting and Commemorative Event. Besides attending the Commemorative Event, Prime Minister Koirala will also participate in the "Historical Walk from Savoy Homan Hotel to Gedung Merdeka" on April 24 in Bandung.
Foreign Minister Mahendra Bahadur Pandey and Officiating Foreign Secretary Shanker Das Bairagi, who have already reached Jakarta, will join Prime Minister Koirala as members of the Nepalese delegation to the Summit Meeting and the Commemorative Event. Other members of the Nepalese delegation include Prime Minister's Foreign Relations Advisor Dr. Dinesh Bhattarai, Permanent Representative of Nepal to the UN in New York H.E. Mr. Durga Prasad Bhattarai, Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Tara Prasad Pokharel and Chief of Protocol Arjun Kant Mainali.
The Prime Minister will also make a stopover in Bangkok (Thailand). He will return to Kathmandu on 28 April 2015.
