KATHMANDU, July 27: Phupu Lhamu Khatri bagged bronze in the JUA Cadet and Junior Judo Championship, which also serves as world ranking event, in Macau. Phupu claimed the medal defeating T Pan of Chinese Taipei in the 63kg event played in the round robin format among four players, according to Deepak Harsh Bajracharya, the president of Nepal Judo Association.

Mongolian player came first defeating Chinese opponent. The event was held from July 24 to 26. Phupu had also won bronze in Hong Kong in the same championship played on July 17 and 18.
