Locals faced much inconvenience after phone service went haywire for the past one month.[break] They took the matter to the district-level authorities, but to no avail. Harried locals brought the problem into the notice of the minister.
Soon after a complaint, the Information Minister directed Telecom authorities to repair phone service. Telecom has sent a team of technicians to repair Chittrethan Repeater Tower.
It is learnt that phone service will resuming within two days and all the places cut off from the district headquarters will be re-connected.
Earlier, locals had even resorted to padlocking at the district-based office of Nepal Telecom.
