SURUNGA (Jhapa), Feb 29: A pedestrian was killed in a road mishap at Mechinagar Municipality in Jhapa district along the East-West highway on Monday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Maiya Malaha, 43, of Mechinagar Municipality-3, according to the District Police Office, Jhapa.
The incident took place when a motorcycle, Me 2 Pa 2979, hit her, according to the DPO, Jhapa.
Police have arrested the motorcyclist and impounded the vehicle. RSS
