Passport applicants on the rise

KHOTANG, Aug. 27: Score of citizens applying for Machine Readable Passport (MRP) has witnessed an increase with the resumption of MRP issuance service from district.



Daily 10-15 applications for MRP are being registered in Khotang district, informed Acting Chief District Officer (CDO) Umesh Kumar Dahal.[break]



At least 250 forms for MRP were registered during the month of Shrawan (Mid-July to Mid-August), according to the District Administration Office.



The Ministry of Foreign Affairs had permitted 38 districts including Khotang for the issuance of MRP since July 17.
