KATHMANDU, March 5: Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) has urged passengers to visit the airport only after confirming their flight bookings.
The advisory comes amid flight suspensions and cancellations to the Middle East due to ongoing airspace restrictions in the region.
Passengers urged to check flights status before heading to TIA...
TIA officials stated that some airlines have recently begun operating limited flights for transit passengers stranded in third countries, allowing travel only between Nepal and certain Middle Eastern airports, excluding full connecting or transit routes.
Passengers traveling from Middle Eastern countries or transiting through third countries are requested to coordinate with their respective airlines and ensure their bookings are confirmed before coming to the airport.
The airport highlighted that air travel to the Middle East has been disrupted following Iran’s recent attacks on Gulf countries, affecting multiple flight operations.
