KATHMANDU, May 3: Domestic flights taking place from the Tribhuvan International Airport were suspended today due to adverse weather. Some inbound airplanes of international flight were also asked to hold, TIA office has stated.
Irrespective of the suffering caused by the cancellation of RA’s flight (RA231) to Dubai (DWC) due to night time runway closure after 10 PM, it was good that Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) was strictly followed. KATHMANDU, April 2: Runway rehabilitation has begun at the country's only international airport, Tribhuvan International Airport, in a full-fledged manner. Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) – the regulatory body of aviation sector – has put in place up-gradation of the runway since last Monday evening.

The disruption lasts from a few minutes to more than half an hour. However, airport authorities are not carrying out standard maintenance for smooth operation of the runway.
