Citizens Bank’s Rs 49,000 assistance to flood victims
KATHMANDU (REPUBLICA): Citizens Bank International Ltd has provided a Rs 49,000 assistance to flood and landslide victims in Darchula. The bank held a ceremony in its premises and Pradeep Jung Pandey, the chairman of the bank, handed over the cash to Darchula Chamber of Commerce and Industry for disbursement to the victims, the bank said in a statement issued Thursday.

Shalimar OPC Cement gets NS mark
KATHMANDU (REPUBLICA): The Department of Food Technology and Quality Control (DFTQC) certified the Nepal Standard (NS) mark to Shalimar Cement’s OPC brand. Jeevan Kumar Agrawal, the managing director of Shalimar Cement attributed certification to fine quality in a statement Thursday. “Now it is our duty to revise the production process in the future so that we can meet the demand for quality cement among the customers,” he said.
