Over 1,700 traffic rule violators penalized in 24 hours

The office stated that Rs 1,184,500 was deposited into the state treasury from traffic penalties.

KATHMANDU, April 11: As many as 1,719 traffic rule violators have been penalized during the last 24 hours. 



According to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, 113 people were penalized for driving under the influence of alcohol, 35 for vehicles with poor mechanical condition, 102 for traffic signal violations, 93 for high speed, 179 for breaching lane discipline, and 38 drivers of public vehicles for operating unsafely.

Similarly, 46 were taken action for unnecessary horn sound, 20 for picking up and dropping passengers at unauthorized locations, and 1,093 for other traffic violations. 


The office stated that Rs 1,184,500 was deposited into the state treasury from traffic penalties.
