At a press meet organized at the CPN-UML party office organized by the CPN-UML, Ilam, he said the agitation was declared to resolve problems of people´s livelihood and to pressurise the UCPN-Maoist to come to talks to take initiative for consensus.
The UCPN-Maoist to propose an independent person to lead the government is just a ploy, he said, adding there had been no achievement so far because of various pretensions of the UCPN-Maoist. There will be peaceful agitation, but if the government resorts to suppression, the agitators will take decision accordantly, Gyawali said.
He said the past movements were stalled as the president had given date for consensus. UCPN-Maoist is seeking to run away from elections, he said and added time has come to hit the UCPN-Maoist with the ballet if they escape from the election.
Impunity is being flourished due to the government, Gyawali said, adding the prime minister speaking in favour of murderers of Dekendraraj Thapa is aimed at protecting the criminals.
