One among five missing teenagers found in Trishuli River found dead

CHITWAN, June 20: The body of one of the five people missing in the Trishuli River at Darechowk VDC-3, Kurintar of Chitwan last Sunday has been found at Kabilas VDC Kerabaei at the river side, said the District Police Office, Chitwan.



The body has been identified as that of Monika Regmi. The family members identified the body. It was found some 20 kilometers downstream from the place they went missing, said Inspector Jib Lal Chudali. [break]



The river had swept away five out of six teenagers including three sisters of a single family on Saturday.



According to the District Police Office, the missing are Monika Regmi, aged around 18, Rajani Regmi, Liza Regmi, Asmita Thapa and Janak Rawat of Chaubiskot, Chitwan.



Resue teams of the Armed Police Force including a police team and locals have been continuously searching for the missing.
