What inspired you to become a Radio Jockey (RJ)?

When I was in class 11, my brother used to work at the radio. I was fascinated by how he used to present his shows and also wanted to do the same. So I decided to apply for a job.

How did the news-reading job work out?

Ever since I was a child, I was interested in reading news. While I was working as an RJ, people used to comment that I had a good command over Nepali language. This encouraged me and hence I trained as a newsreader and went on air for 10 months.

What have been some achievements of working in the media?

Hits FM boosted my confidence. Apart from that, I became familiar with a lot of people from the music scenes and also improved my writing skills. Working as a newscaster, I got a chance to be more updated with the current happenings of Nepal and in the world.

What do you think is the reason you’ve been able to sustain yourself as an RJ?

Firstly, I think it’s my passion. If you have passion for what you do, then you can stay on that job for a long term. Also, the working environment and the people I work with have also helped me love my job.
