NSC Member Secretary Keshab Kumar Bista and ANFA President Ganesh Thapa signed the MoU at the International Sports Complex in Satdobato.Minister for Youth and Sports Purushottam Paudel, secretary of the ministry Dipendra Nath Sharma among others attended the signing ceremony.
According to MoYS Secretary Sharma the upgrading works will cost around Rs 150 million to 250 million and the MoYS will bear the cost of construction works.
As per the contract, a three-member consultant committee should be formed with representatives from both parties - ANFA and NSC -- to prepare documents for detail project report, bidding and contract within three months after testing soil of the ground.
Similarly, ANFA will have to arrange turf and floodlights. According to ANFA President Thapa it will receive funds from FIFA for turf and floodlights. As per the contract, ANFA shall take responsibility to preserve and will also have authority to use the stadium. NSC also could use the stadium if needed.
ANFA has taken the land on lease from Lalitpur Sub-metropolis.
